Locked out of your office? We open it, not the frame.

Storefronts, studios, and offices run on aluminum-frame glass doors with commercial mortise locks and push-pull bars — different hardware than a home door, and different rules about who we open it for. A licensed mobile locksmith who talks to whoever holds the lease.

Office & storefront lockouts

Commercial doors run different hardware than home doors

Aluminum-frame glass storefronts almost always use a commercial mortise lock built into the door stile, paired with a push-pull bar rather than a knob or lever. It's a different mechanism from residential hardware, and it usually needs a different set of tools and a technician who works on it regularly.

Because it's a business, not a home, we also confirm who we're opening the door for — the lease holder, a manager, or someone they've authorized by phone. That's for your protection as much as ours.

  • Aluminum-frame glass doors with commercial mortise locks
  • Push-pull bars, panic hardware, and storefront-specific mechanisms
  • Verified with the lease holder or an authorized manager before entry
  • After-hours calls handled the same as during business hours

How it works

Four steps, and no surprises in the middle

You call. You hear what it costs. Someone comes. The door opens. The order never changes, and neither does the price we quoted on the phone.

STEP 01

You call

Give us the address with cross streets, and let us know if you're the lease holder or calling on their behalf. (917) 970-2894

STEP 02

You get a real ETA

You hear who is coming and how long it honestly takes from wherever the technician is. If that's too long, call someone else, no hard feelings.

STEP 03

Price before the van moves

The cost is agreed on that call. If the mortise lock needs drilling, you hear that price at the same time.

STEP 04

Verified, then the door

The technician confirms you're the lease holder or authorized to enter. Then the door opens, at the price you already agreed to.

Questions

Office lockouts: what people ask before they call

I'm an employee, not the business owner. Can you still let me in?

We need to confirm with the lease holder or an authorized manager first, by phone if they're not on site. It's a short call, and it's the same standard we hold for every commercial door.

What proof do I need to show?

A photo ID, plus something that ties you to the business — a lease, an employee badge, or the property manager confirming by phone.

Our storefront has a push-pull bar, not a regular handle. Is that a problem?

No — that's standard commercial hardware and we work on it regularly. The lock mechanism is usually a mortise case built into the door frame, different from a home lock but well within what we carry tools for.

Can you come after business hours or on a weekend?

Yes, we're on the phone 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM daily. Call and we'll give you an honest ETA for the time you're calling.

Do you work in Manhattan and Queens, or just Brooklyn?

All three. LexKey Locksmith LLC is a mobile locksmith based in Brooklyn, licensed citywide, taking calls across Manhattan, Brooklyn and Queens.
